Food Safety and COVID-19 Response
We have always been committed to the health and wellness of our community. In addition to the usual care we use while processing and handling produce, we are instituting a number of best practices that we hope will further reduce the risk of virus transmission.
Our Standard Operating Procedures for Food Processing
- Regular hand-washing and/or hand-sanitizing.
- Vinyl gloves worn during food packaging.
- Face masks worn during harvesting, cleaning, and packaging.
- Sanitizing bins, tools, and work surfaces with bleach and/or food-grade sanitizer.
- Sanitizing reusable packaging in dishwasher.
- Regular laundering of farm clothes.
**Farm managers are certified in proper food safety procedures through Produce Safety Alliance Grower Training.**

Contactless Farm Share Pick-ups for Safety!
In this time of uncertainty, we feel confident in our pre-ordered Farm Share model as a safer and more reliable way of getting veggies to you. This model minimizes risk of exposure to Coronavirus through pre-paying (no cash exchanged) and reducing the number of people who might possibly touch the produce (ie. just farmers). When you pick up your share, you only have to touch the produce inside. The whole process is contactless and socially distant.
