Farm Shares
The River Queen Greens Farm Share is a produce subscription in New Orleans providing members with farm-fresh vegetables every week during the Fall and Spring seasons. Choose your favorites from a wide variety of seasonal veggies straight from our farm. Always fresh, healthy, and delicious, our Farm Share is a great choice for people who love veggies, or would like to learn to love veggies!
Options typically include a robust selection of greens, including a variety of salad, cooking, and microgreens, as well as root veggies, fresh herbs, and other seasonal favorites. Most of the veggies are grown by us at our Certified Naturally Grown New Orleans farm, with supplemental produce and add-on farm products (like eggs, honey, meat, and seasonal fruit) from other local farmers and producers.
We are thrilled to now be able to sell online to EBT customers as well! All EBT-eligible purchases may be made online and will be matched by Market Match, cutting the price in half for customers using SNAP benefits.
Participating in a farm share is a great way to support local agriculture and local food, and eat healthy while you do it. Enjoy some of the freshest, most nutrient-dense produce available in New Orleans every week.

PLEASE NOTE: All Farm Share subscriptions are for weekly pickups for the entire season. For customers looking for less regular pickups, we suggest you purchase on-demand Veggie Boxes, which are available most weeks.

Payment Options
When you first sign up, you'll input your credit card information. You can select: Pay upfront. Pay the whole price for the season at once - the traditional CSA payment model. Pay-as-you-go. As the season progresses, you'll be charged per week. There's no additional subscription fee. You may cancel at any time without penalty. If you sign up after the start of the season, your share will be prorated, and you'll be charged a deposit at the time you sign up, and then the remaining balance will be evenly divided each week for the remainder of the season. For a more detailed explanation of how GrownBy prorates weekly payments, click here. Transaction Fees for Payments in GrownBy ACH Payments: GrownBy now offers payment with ACH. Input your bank information at the beginning of the season and avoid paying transaction fees. (We still get charged 1%, but that's less than we get charged for credit card transactions.) Credit cards: Credit cards add a $0.30 transaction fee, which means if you choose to pay-per-week, you'll be charged an extra $0.30 each week. Paying upfront will incur a single $0.30 charge. See "Farm Credit" below for additional strategies for minimizing this transaction fee over the course of the season. EBT cards: There are no transaction fees for EBT card transactions. GrownBy has recently added a "Tips & Fees" option for payment, allowing customers to optionally cover the cost to us and add a tip, which we appreciate but don't expect! Flexible Cancellations We hope when you sign up that you'll stick with your share for the whole season, but we understand that circumstances change and do allow members to cancel their shares throughout the season. Buy 1/2 Priced Farm Shares with EBT
You can now use your EBT card to purchase Farm Shares, Veggie Boxes, and all other EBT-eligible products online through our GrownBy site. We have partnered with Market Umbrella to use Market Match, which covers the other half of the price of all EBT purchases. Due to the time proximity requirement of SNAP purchases, subscribers using EBT must input their PIN number into GrownBy each week. When you sign up for a Farm Share through the EBT selection, you will enter all the dates for the share and then you will be prompted via email each week to enter your PIN number the morning of the pickup. Community Shares We are offering a limited number of half-priced Community Shares for members who cannot afford to pay full price and don't have SNAP. Please be considerate and honest about your need. If you would like to request a subsidized Community Share due to financial insecurity, please click here. Missed Pickup Policy
For a number of reasons, we are not able to accommodate rescheduling missed pickups later in the week. We donate all shares that aren't picked up by 7pm. If you contact us before 7pm, we can give you a credit for future purchases, but we offer this courtesy on a limited basis, and we ask that you please count it as one of your vacation days. Please do not make a habit of missing your pickup and asking for a credit! We do not give refunds for missed pickups.
